Preparations being made to test for frame movement during the swinging of the tenor.
The bells and frame were removed to our workshops, re-erected and tested for movement. By restoring and strengthening the frame, frame movement was successfully reduced to within the limits set by the structural engineer and so the frame has now been returned to the tower and fixed to a new grillage. The bells, also re-tuned and rehung on new fittings, are now back in full working order.
